Bay Minette church burglarized and vandalized by teens – FOX10 News | WALA

Audio cords and acoustic guitars are now back in the church where they belong. Last Wednesday, Bay Minette Police said two 18-year-olds stole these and many more items from the church.

When the suspects were confronted by a police sergeant in an alley behind the church, Tyler Haigler and his alleged accomplice Johnathan Boutwell said they had just run out of gas.

“Their story was they were out of gas and were heading to the Piggly Wiggly. And Piggly Wiggly was closed, so she had them go to the gas station where they purchased $7 worth of gas and left,” Sgt. Ray Dixon said.

But they weren’t done for the night. Police said they then went to Dixon Road near Highway 225 and started burglarizing houses before a homeowner caught them and called sheriff’s deputies.
