Bay Minette police said they want to question Steven Brown in connection with an incident during the May Day celebration in the Douglasville community there.

Thursday, Bay Minette Police Department issued felony warrants for another man, Steven Barnes, in connection with the incident, but they determined he wasn’t involved after questioning.

Bay Minette Police Chief Clarence Crook said hundreds of people participated in the annual May Day celebration and many were drinking.

He said crowds of people were in the streets and officers were in the area when various complaints started coming in. Footage released Monday, May 4, 2015 showed the loud, crowded scene early in the evening when officers tried to calm the crowd down. As night fell, he said things escalated and more complaints came in about the same individual.
