Foley sets ‘roadmap’ for future of 484-acre Graham Creek Nature Preserve | AL.com

Walking the fine line between wildlife preservation and recreation, Foley officials have approved a plan for the future development of the city’s 484-acre Graham Creek Nature Preserve.

In the years since Foley partnered with Riviera Utilities to purchase the property for $5.6 million in 2004, the city has added 12 miles of bicycling, running and walking paths as well as a canoe launch, restrooms, a pavilion and picnic area, a playground, an 18-hole disc golf course, an outdoor classroom, a community archery park and wildlife education signs.
