Questions raised about Baldwin County’s property tax revenue | AL.com

Five Alabama counties are trending upward in property tax revenues, while Baldwin County has yet to see an uptick from the same revenue stream since the Recession, according to statistics provided by Interim County Administrator Ron Cink.

Revenue Commissioner Teddy Faust Jr., however, said the county’s revenue figures should show at least a 6 percent increase in the coming year.

Cink’s analysis was presented during a Baldwin County Commission workshop Tuesday, with Commissioner Tucker Dorsey questioning why the county – the fastest growing county in Alabama – was not generating an increase in property tax revenue.
