Bay Minette man arrested: Juneau police arrest man who allegedly robbed Northrim Bank branch with bomb threat

The Juneau Police Department has arrested a man it says is the person behind the robbery of the Mendenhall Valley branch of Northrim Bank on Friday.

Larry Randolph Powell, 52, was arrested at Juneau International Airport shortly after noon Saturday after police were tipped off by Alaska Airlines personnel that a suspicious man was attempting to fly out of Juneau. According to an email from police, Powell matched the description of the person who robbed Northrim Bank. A surveillance camera image released by police shows a heavyset man with a graying goatee leaving the bank on Friday morning with a colored pouch. The man is wearing a dark hoodie or jacket and jeans.

When taken into custody by police, Powell, of Bay Minette, Alabama, had an undisclosed amount of cash. He was subsequently charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree theft and making terroristic threats. He was take
