Troubled waters: Fairhope to replace splash pad at recently renovated community park

Children who have enjoyed Fairhope’s first-ever splash pad since it opened in August will have to resort to backyard pools and sprinklers for a few months.

The 2,200-square-foot aquatic playground at Fairhopers Community Park will close on April 29 so a city-hired contractor can demolish it and construct a new one. The work is expected to be done within two months.
