Alabama Marine police arrested a 45-year-old Robertsdale man Sunday night after three people suffered injuries in an apparent drunken boat crash Saturday night, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Alabama State Trooper Jamie Maloy said Nicholas John Jordan owns the boat which crashed along the Intracostal Waterway Canal Saturday evening. The accident was reported between Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Maloy said.

Jordan denied driving the boat when it crashed and injured three people, including Jane Felicia Bell, 33, of Fairhope, who was on nearby land at the time of the collision.

Also on the boat and injured in the crash were Jason Benjamin Shepherd, 42, of Chickasaw, Jeffrey Kevin Hill, 45, of Robertsdale.
