A man reportedly suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and armed with multiple firearms surrendered to negotiators with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday night after firing several shots at a home in Silverhill, a sheriff’s office spokesman said.
Around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday officers with the Silverhill and Summerdale police departments responded to a report of an apparently intoxicated man firing weapons in and around a home on Camellia Road. Silverhill Police Chief Kim Wasden requested the help of the sheriff’s office to talk the man down.
“Mr. Thibodeau expressed some anger toward failed attempts to get his girlfriend to leave his residence,” Arthur said. “After a short negotiation Mr. Thibodeau surrendered to authorities without incident.”
WTF? Why was he arrested if the problem started because the “girlfriend” wouldn’t leave HIS residence?
