First for schools, now for prison? New jail in south Baldwin County? Cities, Sheriff’s Office looking into feasibility of joint effort

Get your signs back out: NO New Taxes!!

If we’re not going to fund the schools surely we won’t fund a new prison. If the prisons are overcrowded they can do what the school system is doing until they learn to live within their means and budget better: Pack them in tighter or get portables.

When I was younger, I did just fine without a fancy new prison building.

Are they giving our tax money to the Baldwin County Prison Coalition yet? Are they going to start an Incarcerate Baldwin Now group?

Why can’t the parents with kids using the prisons pay for them? I don’t even have kids in prison any more.

If the population is growing, tax those people moving in to pay for this new prison.

Maybe the cities should break away from the county and form their own jail/education system.

And stop blaming this on Dr. Lee. He was never even in jail in Baldwin County yet. This is clearly Obama’s fault for letting all those alien children in and giving them free health care just so they’d vote for his plans to turn this country into a godless, socialist state..

We are taxed enough already!

In an effort to increase efficiency and decrease operational costs, the cities of Foley, Orange Beach and Gulf Shores along with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office are looking into the feasibility of constructing a joint minimum security facility in south Baldwin.
