Heart attack possible cause of weekend crash in Daphne

An Elberta man may have suffered a heart attack before his truck rolled out of a gas station parking lot and into a pillar near Ala. 181 and U.S. 90 over the weekend, according to authorities.

Daphne police and the Baldwin County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 68-year-old Andrew Lewis Lay. The accident occurred about 2:32 p.m. Saturday, according to the Coroner’s Office.
