Fairhope seeks $1.2 million in attorney fees from Dyas family

After a federal judge recently struck down most of the claims in a lawsuit filed two years ago against the municipality by members of the Charles Dyas family, the city is now seeking to recover $1.2 million in attorneys’ fees from the Dyases.

Mayor Tim Kant said he plans to make a presentation at tonight’s City Council meeting to update the panel on the legal battle regarding the so-called “Dyas Triangle” property at U.S. 98 and Section Street.
