Fairhope soldiers ready for deployment Monday

About 170 National Guard soldiers based in south Alabama are headed back to the Middle East.

The 1165th Military Police Company based in Fairhope and Brewton will deploy Monday. The company will spend about a month at Camp Shelby, Miss., before going to Afghanistan.

They are scheduled to be at Camp Eggers in Kabul near the Presidential Palace and the U.S. Embassy. Company commander Capt. Courtney Pullum said the company will provide security.
