The couple who owns the ‘Pina’s Mobile Home Park” says they don’t keep kids from living there, but they do restrict the numbers, and the federal government says that’s discrimination.
According to the settlement, the couple will have to pay a little more than one hundred thousand dollars to those considered victims of discrimination, and 30-thousand to the government as a civil penalty.

Chuck,
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t foley trying to institute a similar policy by ordinance? They would limit the number of non related individuals in a home to three in single family districts. Granted I can understand the issue in both cases, I do not see how public entity can do it, but private one cannot.
I do so hate double standards.
A law like that wouldn’t matter in Robertsdale. Everyone’s related there.
Let’s be constructive. If they rent by number of occupants then they are no different than a hotel.
If the don’t allow more than a certain number of occupants then they are merely looking out for there property.
