Influx of ugly people expected in Daphne for beauty school

A beauty school may open in Daphne as the Planning Commission at its site review Aug. 19 heard an administrative presentation for Genesis Career College to move into the building formerly occupied by Advance Auto Parts in Daphne Square, at the Wilson Avenue-U.S. Highway 98 intersection. Commissioners do not vote during site review.

The .4-acre property is southeast of the intersection of U.S. Highway 98 and Wilson Avenue.

Beauty school proposed

Finally, they’re going to teach the ugly people how to be beautiful. I’d support a 1-cent sales tax increase for that school. Will they be offering scholarships to people from Mobile?

There are more ugly people on the inside, than on the outside in Daphne. True beauty comes from within.

Sounds like a great idea! We welcome a school for our aspiring hair stylists that won’t have to travel as far to gain the skills and knowledge they need. Just one question ……what is the track record of Genesis as far as their students passing the state licensing exam? This would be one question I would ask before enrolling my student.
