Foley City Council carries over liquor license matter, passes the plate

After hearing objections by Foley Police Department, Foley City Council members moved Monday to carry over an application for a Lounge Retail Liquor License (Class I) for the Pink Pony Club at 122 County Rd. 20 West.

The action came after Police Chief David Wilson recommended the license not be approved, citing “numerous police calls,” some “violent,” in connection with the establishment.

Wilson urged that the matter be carried over in fairness to the club owners. The license applicant is Burrdy Inc.
