North Dakota slaying suspect arrested at Gulf Shores campground

A Texas man wanted in connection with a North Dakota slaying is awaiting extradition to that state after being discovered by police at a campground along the Intracoastal Waterway.

Shane Patrick Miller, 39, is a suspect in the shooting death of 49-year-old Neal Matejovsky, a Dickinson, N.D., man, local police and North Dakota authorities said.

Contacted Tuesday by the Press-Register, the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, which is investigating the matter, declined to comment on the case. Investigators in North Dakota have told The Dickinson Press, a local newspaper, that Matejovsky was killed March 26 and that his body was found Friday in a field northeast of Dickinson, a city in the western part of the state.
