Investigators: Son stabs father while trying to steal TV

A 22-year-old Foley man stabbed his father Tuesday while trying to steal his TV and sell it for drug money, Baldwin County authorities said

The father, Barry Garrett, was treated at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center and released while his son, Thomas Earl Kingsley, was being held today in the Baldwin County Corrections Center on $10,000 bail, according to the sheriff’s department.

The altercation occurred about 10 p.m. Tuesday on Helton Drive in Foley when Kingsley grabbed a steak knife and stabbed Garrett in the chest, investigators said.
