‘Senior release’ privilege to be expanded in Baldwin

While Mobile County schools are reducing the amount of time students can spend out of the classroom on the “senior release” privilege this fall, Baldwin County school officials are hoping that more students there will take advantage of it.

Meanwhile in Baldwin County, some seniors will be encouraged to leave their high schools daily to enroll in classes at Faulkner State Community College, said Pam Henson, director of instructional support.

Pending approval by the state board of education, Baldwin County schools are forming a partnership with Faulkner to give students a jumpstart on college.
