Alleged car-parts thieves confess

Working on a tip from somone authorities describe only as “in the know,” Daphne Police Department detectives Wednesday searched the home of James Kevin Trehern, 22, of Saraland, to question him about a rash of recent thefts from Eastern Shore Toyota and Tameron Honda

Trehern confessed to stealing various items from the auto dealerships, Daphne Police Lt. Jud Beedy said.

“We recovered tires, speedometers, floor mats and DVD players,” Beedy said, referring to stolen items found during the search. “We got a whole bunch of things.”
