The Baldwin County Board of Education hosted a banquet Thursday night to honor several dozen teachers of the year and announce two countywide representatives.
Tiffaney Plato of Central Bald win Middle was chosen as the 2009 Secondary Teacher of the Year and Nikki Cotton of Orange Beach Elementary was selected as 2009 Elementary Teacher of the Year. The two educators will compete for statewide accolades.
The school board hosted a crowd of about 150 with dinner and a motivational speaker at Trojan Hall next to Daphne High while honoring teachers who represented each of the system’s schools. Every teacher was given a crystal apple for their commendable service
