GOD is good.
I will be notifying the Department of Education that the Baldwin County Board of Education has a policy which allows the youth to bring in items to donate to charity and then get “academic” credits. This money may not be legitimate if the schools are allowing kids to buy their grades with donation instead of making their grades through study.
It is deceptive for the Baldwin County Board of Education to allow the students to add points to their grades if the students bring things to the classroom. I was told by my daughter that she was allowed to bring in “paper towels” in order to get extra credit for her academics. I was told personally that she could bring in a donation for the Ronal McDonald house in order to bring up her grade in a particular class after I asked the teacher how could my daughter increase her grades academically.
I will be contacting the offices in the state to report this practice fraud and deception. The money is given because it is supposed to based upon the students’ academic success and NOT their economic means to provide financial support for the school.
In the policy book, I saw NOTHING which allowed for students to get grade adjustments for bringing in donations to help the school buy supplies, etc.
I warned the people are Robertsdale High School that this practice needs to STOP or I will take my complaint to another level. Theresa Bryant was not there for me to speak to her personally.
