Judge, prosecutor recuse themselves from Whetstone DUI

Summerdale Municipal Judge Daniel Robert Stankoski Jr. and prosecutor Mitzi Johnson-Theodoro said they will recuse themselves from the driving while intoxicated case against former Baldwin County District Attorney David Whetstone due to personal and professional relationships with the accused.

Whetstone, who served as the county’s top prosecutor for more than 2 decades before retiring in 2006, was charged with DUI on Friday night after failing a Breathalyzer test, according to law enforcement officers.
