Examiners find court funds missing

State Examiners of Public Accounts have audited the books of seven of the state’s 274 municipal court systems in the past few months, according to a story in the Birmingham News. Six of the seven audits found problems, which raises the issue of whether the state should be auditing a lot more of the town court systems.
