Foley Hires New Fire Chief

The city of Foley has hired a new fire chief. Joseph Darby is currently a Battalion Chief with the Auburn Fire Department. He will replace Jamie Hinton who resigned in January to take with MedStar.

The department has been operating under interim chief Lt. Chad Brewer since Hinton’s departure. Derby starts January 5th. He will be paid $72,000 a year.
