Foley officials have postponed a downtown renovation project until January due to a slow economy. City Council members voted Monday night to put the $6.2 million Downtown Streetscape project on hold. Mayor John Koniar said officials want to see if the recent economic downturn shows signs of ending before council members approved asking the contractor to hold the price for the project beyond the expiration date for the bid this month.
