Mike Boan has a story to tell, only he says, no one will listen. So instead he well tell the tale of these tall oaks.
Boan says the Baldwin County Highway Department has plans to tear them down for a new South and the people who travel there. They will be mowed down by an extension of the Foley beach express. A map from the Baldwin County Engineering Department shows the trees. The four surrounding Boan’s house are at least 60 inches in diameter. The largest is almost six feet. Soon they will bee six feet under. Boan says, there has to be another way.
