Early Monday morning Loxley Police said they found two young men on top of a water tower in Stapleton. Police say they had been drinking alcohol. Police say the two opened the top hatch of the water supply. Officials feared the water supply had been contaminated.
North Baldwin Utilities manager Jason Padgett said he wasn’t taking any risks. He had 750,000 gallons of water drained from the tower. Patrick Mosely, 21, and Jarred Hawkshead, 17 each face two felony charges and two misdemeanor charges.

EVEN if they DID climb (which they shouldn’t have) WHY on earth would they have been able to open the latch….wasn’t it LOCKED!!!
Why would you lock something that is where unauthorized persons shouldn’t be?
Good Question NoSo… I think Ole Jason did the right thing. The class action suit that could have resulted had the water been tainted would have put NBU on the skids. although… I wouldn’t mind a nice yuengling from the tap.
