Crews rescue two after car drives off Causeway

Search and rescue crews located a second victim from a car that drove off the Causeway into Mobile Bay late Friday night. Both the driver and passenger survived the incident.

Searchers from North Baldwin Search and Rescue located the female driver of the car around 12:15 Saturday morning in the marshy waters near Ed’s Seafood Shed. The car was pulled from the water around 11:20 P.M.

The search and rescue efforts started around 9 P.M. when a call came into 9-1-1 that someone had driven their car into the water. Search and Rescue teams were able to rescue the only passenger in the car, a male, shortly after arriving on the scene.
