Commissioners approve increasing, adding Baldwin County Health Department fees

In other business, the commission approved a request from the Baldwin County Health Department to increase and add costs for about 30 services that range from swimming pool permit fees to inspections of restaurants, festival food vendors and on-site sewage disposal systems.

Jack Holiday, environmental director for the state Department of Public Health district that includes Baldwin, said the fees haven’t been revised since 1999. The commission also approved bumping an administrative fee from $10 to $15 for vaccinations for special circumstances, such as those traveling out of the country or a fire department that needs to receive Hepatitis B vaccinations, health department officials said.
