Woman dies in Foley housefire

 Baldwin County woman has died in an overnight fire, Baldwin County Emergency Officials said.The blaze broke out about 1 a.m. on West Magnolia Avenue. Fire officials say 49-year-old Cynthia Brooks died in the fire.

Brooks’ friend, John Samson was injured in the fire as he tried to save her, fire officials said. Samson was transferred to USA Medical Center for treatment for burns and cuts. The cause is still under investigation.
