About 135 dirt-road dwellers and concerned citizens were listening Thursday night when three county commissioners strongly defended their records and explained that the task of paving roads is more difficult than it seems.
Baldwin County Grassroots Road Paving Organization members questioned commissioners at their “Progress on Promises” meeting in hopes of obtaining two things: a fixed number of miles that would be surfaced this year and an established written criteria (preferably theirs) for the way roads would be paved.
