A lawsuit was filed in federal court Thursday over the death of a Baldwin County Jail inmate who allegedly was denied prescription medication while shackled to a restraint with his hands behind him for at least three hours.
The suit, which seeks “a substantial civil fine,” and was filed on behalf of the estate of Ross Paul Yates, who died in the jail on May 31, 2006.
