Baldwin County will spray for adult mosquitoes in the unincorporated areas of Baldwin County based on need and public health concern between the hours of 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., beginning as early as May 1.
A 40-year-old Gulf Shores woman was sentenced to 10 years in prison today, a month after a jury convicted her of criminally negligent homicide.

Teens broke into Elsanor Elementary on Wednesday and Thursday. They stole various items, vandalized the school and portables and killed a class fish.

A man prosecutors say swindled more than a dozen hurricane victims out of more than $500,000 pleaded guilty to theft charges today in Baldwin County Circuit Court and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Baldwin County Board of Education members indicated this week that they are not quite ready to pay off a $235,000 debt for Baldwin County High School.
Investigators today said they were investigating the “suspicious death” of a woman found in a bathtub in her Foley apartment.
Daphne Middle School was evacuated late this afternoon. Rumors circulated among the students that there was a bomb threat made. Parents of students who were absent from school today were contacted.
